AFCC has achieved significant accomplishments in hydrogen and fuel cell research and development:

• Over 280 Daimler and Ford fuel cell vehicles have been demonstrated in various geographical and climatic regions worldwide.
• Weight and production costs continue to decrease.
• Performance, stack lifetime, reliability, and freeze start capability constantly improve.

The following chart shows the technological progress of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class F-CELL vehicle introduced in 2004 to the B-Class F-CELL which is now in small series production.
